Our fabrics has been treated with heat reactive microcapsules, this means that our swimshorts have the ability to change colour when they get in contact with cold or warm ‘water’.
The swimming trunks change colour when they get in contact with water, this isn’t because of the moisture, but because of the temperature of the water. The fabric is going through a temperature change because water is colder than the temperature above surface. That causes the fabric to change colour. As the short becomes dry (warm), the first colour will reveal again. The colour change effect isn’t limited.
For example, our orange-yellow swimshort. The left one (orange) is cold and the right one (yellow) is warm. It is exactly the same short, however, one is warm and the other one is cold.
The technic of ‘colour changing’ is not new, but the application is. The application on synthetic fabrics isn’t done often before because it’s quite difficult to ‘colour’ a synthetic fiber. Natural fibers absorb way more moister so they're much easier to colour. The application on swimwear is completely new, it has never been done before.
